Eichi Mini-Profile
Eichi grew up with Mitsuki in an orphanage after his grandfather died. He hated the moon because he said it "followed him", but later he realized it was guiding his path and the moon was always there for him. Eichi dreamed of becoming an astronaut and was adopted and set off for America. Falling in love with Mitsuki, he made a promise that when they met again, they'd be even closer to their dreams. However, in the manga, Eichi never made it to America; the flight crashed in the ocean and there were no survivors. However, Eichi refused to go with the shinigami, who coincedintially turned out to be Takuto, and defied Heaven for Mitsuki. He stayed with her, even though she could not see, hear, or feel him there. He is the reason that Mitsuki could see the shinigami.However, in the anime, Eichi does make it to America, only to die in an auto accident. I'm shoddy on details because I've never actually seen the anime... yet.
Supposedly Eichi is this godly figure who is perfect in every way, but, as I bring up in countless debates, we the reader only see one side of Eichi; Mitsuki's side.
