EichixMitsuki Corner
EichixMitsuki is the classic tale of a first love, and also a first heartbreaker. When Mitsuki was first sent to the orphanage, Eichi was the only one there to care. He took her in as an older brother would, but as they spent more time with each other, his feelings developed. I'm not quite sure how long he kept these feelings to himself, but when he was at last adopted by an American-bound family, he confessed to the innocent 10-year-old. Mitsuki had no idea what he meant, as she was so young. So Eichi, wanting her to understand, forced a kiss on her. Mitsuki was appalled and ran away, and Eichi was left ashamed. When he left the next day, he told her to forget about him, or to answer him. When she didn't answer, I could feel Eichi's heart breaking. He loved her, but she was too young to understand. But Mitsuki would never forget Eichi, and from then on, she'd remember him as her first love.Mitsuki's thrill to be a singer lived in Eichi. Without him, she wouldn't feel the pulse of singing rush through her. She felt she had to sing, for Eichi. The reason? A promise. She made a promise to Eichi that when they met again, she'd be closer to being a singer, and Eichi would be closer to be an astronaut.
However, Eichi died on the plane ride to America. It crashed in the ocean; no survivors. Mitsuki was obviously devastated and heartbroken. But she blocked that fact out, and lived in a world where Eichi was alive, and she would someday meet him again as a famous singer.
When the shinigami, who just happened to be Takuto, came to revive Eichi's soul, he defied him. Eichi told Takuto that only one person could take his soul; one girl. One ten-year-old orphaned girl. Eichi defied Heaven for Mitsuki, only to later lose her to the person he defied for her.
Mitsuki may have been too young to understand the love Eichi felt for her at the time, but as years past and the tumour in her throat developed, she thought about it, and realized her love. But it was still a fragile feeling, and was broken by Takuto.
But the most important thing is when the Shinigami Team Negi Ramen appeared in her life, and for whatever reason she could see them, and told her she had only a year to live, Mitsuki pushed harder for Eichi, trying to defy death for him, like he did for her.
